Spring 2025 Program & Event Guide

Welcome to our Spring 2025 Program & Event Guide.

Let’s get ready for Spring reading fun at your Library!  Beginning February 1, you are invited to embark on a journey to discover the McHenry County libraries!  The Library Lovers Expedition is back with collectible brag tags at each location and prize drawings.  The popular expedition will run until March 31 with 15 area libraries participating.  We are excited to host local presenters this season including record-setting long-distance bicycle racer and Harvard native Lon Haldeman.  “Marathon Lon” will present a program on February 15 on his unique bicycling career.  The coming of Spring gets gardeners thinking –and on February 27  we will host a backyard gardening planning session with local Harvard farmers Rob and Sarah Thompson of Bramblewood Farm.   Please reserve your tickets online for these special events!  Of course, all of our favorites continue : Pre-School Story Time, Crafternoons, Movie Nights, our new Puzzle Competition, Laid-Back Book Club, Illinois Libraries Present, Adult Programs, and the annual Spring Tea Party fundraiser hosted by the Friends of the Harvard Diggins Library and the Greater Harvard Historical Society.  To see what else we are featuring this Spring, stop by the library to pick up a copy or click here for our February – April guide!
