Entering the Blue Zones

January 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Whether in our 20s or 70s, we all want to live long, vibrant, healthy lives. Sadly, the increasing rates of chronic diseases make the likelihood of achieving that goal unlikely for many Americans unless mid-course corrections are made. This FREE program at the Library presented by Joan Davis, RN, will introduce you to the exciting and popular “Blue Zones” research, examining how we can not just grow old, but grow old with abundant energy and without chronic diseases.

Learn about the folks who live in the “Blue Zones” of the world who live well into their 90s and beyond, what those people have in common, and how you can incorporate the Blue Zone secrets into your own lifestyle. Light refreshments will be served, including a sample of one of the recommended “Blue Zone” foods!

Advance registration is required. This program is free and open to the public, no library required. To sign up for this event, fill out the form below or call 815-943-4671.
